No frills, no gimmicks, standard good ol’ American style breakfast. Service was attentive, food was decent. Atmosphere was good albiet a little bit hectic with all the Doordashers and UberEats drivers coming in and out. However do beware of the default 20% tip option when paying by card. Other options were 25/30/35%.
Overview
Walking into Patty's Eggnest feels like stepping into the kind of neighborhood diner people talk about with a smile and a little nostalgia. Tucked along 17917 Bothell Everett Hwy Suite #101, Bothell, WA 98012, United States, this spot has become a familiar stop for locals who want comfort food done right, without fuss or pretense. I’ve eaten breakfast here on quiet weekday mornings and on packed weekends, and the experience is consistently relaxed, friendly, and filling in the best possible way.
The menu leans heavily into classic American breakfast and brunch favorites, but it doesn’t feel outdated. Think fluffy pancakes, omelets folded generously with fresh ingredients, crisp hash browns, and eggs cooked exactly how you ask for them. On one visit, I watched a short-order cook juggle multiple tickets while still taking time to make sure each plate looked right before it hit the counter. That attention shows up in small ways, like evenly browned toast and bacon that’s actually crisp, not limp. Regulars often recommend the house omelets and benedicts, and after trying both, it’s easy to see why they’re considered all-day breakfast comfort staples around Bothell.
What stands out most is consistency. According to research published by the National Restaurant Association, repeat customers value reliability even more than novelty, especially in diners and breakfast restaurants. That idea plays out here. The recipes don’t chase trends; instead, they focus on balance, portion size, and flavor. Eggs are fresh, coffee is refilled without asking, and plates arrive hot. From a practical standpoint, that reliability matters. Studies from Cornell University’s Food and Brand Lab have shown that perceived value in casual dining increases when portions, service speed, and taste remain predictable over time, which helps explain why this place stays busy.
Service deserves its own mention. Servers greet you like they’ve seen you before, even if it’s your first visit. During one brunch rush, our server explained the menu options patiently while keeping an eye on nearby tables, a small example of multitasking that keeps the room running smoothly. That kind of front-of-house rhythm doesn’t happen by accident; it usually comes from experience and clear processes. Orders are repeated back, modifications are noted carefully, and food timing stays tight, even when the dining room is full.
Reviews around town often mention how approachable the atmosphere feels, and that lines up with what I’ve seen. Families, retirees, and solo diners all share the same space comfortably. There’s no pressure to rush, but turnover stays steady. While the menu focuses on breakfast and lunch, lighter options and classic sides make it easy to customize a meal, which matters for diners with different appetites or dietary preferences. Like many diners, options for strict vegan or gluten-free diets are limited, so it’s worth asking ahead if you have specific needs.
Location-wise, being right off Bothell Everett Highway makes it easy to spot and convenient to reach. Parking is straightforward, and many people pair a meal here with nearby errands or weekend plans. Over time, this restaurant has earned a reputation not because it tries to be flashy, but because it delivers honest diner food with care. That kind of reputation is built slowly, plate by plate, review by review, and it’s the reason so many locals keep coming back.

Finally stopped in while waiting for a car repair. My wife and I split a breakfast and each half was an entire meal! Fantastic Bacon, bratwurst, and great service.
Fantastic food and service! Reccommended if you're in the area :) EDIT: Upon my second trip, I got some of the best Swedish pancakes I've had from the eggnest, and some of the friendliest service I've had in a while. Can't recommend this place enough!
Great local breakfast place. Family friendly and wonderful service. The wait staff is friendly and humorous. The food is fantastic. The scrambles, O'Brien potatoes, and biscuits & gravy are the best. Nice weekend breakfast spot!
Great breakfast place that also serves lunch with friendly staff and quick service. The eggs Benedict are the treat for me, this is my favorite place to get them, but their pancakes and Biscuits & gravy are excellent too. Great value for the money and you'll never go away hungry. Don't forget to grab a punch card at the check-out and start progress towards a lotalty reward.
This is a family favorite! Classic breakfast dishes are done well, and they have special dishes, like the Elvis French toast, that we love to order when we are celebrating something. The service is what puts this over the top, though. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and so very hospitable - Mush has treated us like family from our very first visit! We can’t help but come back over and over.
